Joseph Charles is a veteran civil litigator whose practice focuses primarily on commercial and residential real estate litigation, including construction defect claims, broker/agent liability, common law and statutory fraud issues, and breach of fiduciary duty claims. He has extensive experience handling multi-party complex litigation cases, breach of contract and other commercial obligation claims, and insurance bad faith.
Mr. Charles has represented a wide variety of clients in a multitude of practice areas in both state and federal court – from Fortune 500 multi-national corporations to individuals and small businesses. No stranger to the courtroom, he has tried multiple cases, in bench trials and jury trials, and also regularly obtains successful results for our clients in mediations and arbitrations.
A graduate of Fordham University and the University of San Diego School of Law, Mr. Charles joined Peterson, Martin & Reynolds LLP after gaining extensive litigation experience with a large nationwide firm.
Originally from the East Coast, Mr. Charles has lived in the Bay Area for over twenty years. An avid golfer, hiker, traveler and Stanford University football season-ticket holder, Mr. Charles resides in Redwood City with his wife.
