Jury returns fraud verdict for plaintiff home buyer
PMR represented the purchaser of a large residential estate which suffered extensive landslide damage. Sellers failed to disclose a geotechnical report they received which warned of landslide dangers and made recommendations for preventive measures. After a three week trial the jury returned a $270,000 verdict in favor of PMR’s client, finding sellers liable for fraud, breach of contract and statutory violations. Prior to the next phase of the trial for rescission, the sellers settled with PMR’s client for $600,000.
