Nina Reynolds has litigated a broad array of real property disputes involving residential purchase and sale agreements, fiduciary duties and standards of care, fraud and nondisclosure issues, lease disputes, and construction defect claims. Ms. Reynolds also has extensive background and experience with third party insurance coverage claims.
Ms. Reynolds’ clients include real estate brokers and agents, residential buyers and sellers, real estate investors, contractors and developers, commercial landlords and tenants, and privately held corporations and partnerships. She litigates in both state and federal courts, and has successfully tried cases to the bench and to jury verdict. Ms. Reynolds also has extensive mediation and arbitration experience and experience in handling writs and appeals. Ms. Reynolds is an active member of the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, and her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.
Jeff Martin, a founding partner of Peterson, Martin & Reynolds LLP, specializes in real property litigation with an emphasis in representing real estate brokers and agents, and real estate owners and lenders.
In addition to his years of experience as a litigator in courts throughout Northern California, Mr. Martin also has substantial appellate experience. In addition, he has served as an advocate and an arbitrator/mediator in various Alternative Dispute Resolution forums.
As the former chairperson of the Brokerage and Sales Subsection of the Real Property Section of the California State Bar, Mr. Martin led the state bar’s oversight of legal and practice issues affecting real estate professionals. He also has served on the Executive Board of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and is a member of the Editorial Board of the California Real Estate Reporter published by Matthew Bender. Mr. Martin has authored articles and newsletters on issues pertaining to real estate litigation and real estate brokerage.
Mr. Martin is an active member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Martin is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hastings College of the Law in 1985.
Kurt Peterson specializes in litigation and trials involving real estate and business disputes, regularly representing the firm’s clients in lawsuits involving business and real property holdings, transactions, and investments. He has a distinguished record, having successfully tried numerous cases to verdict and judgment in California state and U.S. federal courts.
Mr. Peterson enjoys a leading reputation for professionalism and has consistently achieved winning results for his clients. He also has served as an advocate in real estate and business disputes within a variety of Alternative Dispute Resolution forums, including International Chamber of Commerce arbitration.
Mr. Peterson is a former faculty member of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a past Chairperson of the Real Estate Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco. He regularly appears as a lecturer and speaker in real estate industry forums and programs throughout California, and is the author of articles on a variety of litigation topics.
Mr. Peterson is an active member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and the California Association of Realtors Strategic Defense Panel.
Mr. Peterson is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, and received his Juris Doctor degree from the King Hall School of Law, University of California, Davis.
